Slow Cooked Clothes:

The temperature is warming up now but things are in full colour up at Magic Starfish. Our sample of organic cotton, regualar cotton and hemp muslin baby wraps have just been dyed. There are lots of different styles so if you are keen on a tie dye wrap for your new baby give us a call on (02) 4930 0769!

We had an amazing time at the HAN Art Bazaar in early December. We love meeting all those tie dye lovers. It was exciting having customers from Art Bazaar  2009 coming back to buy more of our tie dyed shopping bags for family and friends.

Kimberlie's planning another trip to Adelaide over the summer as there is lots of interest in our tie dyed shopping bags, aprons, tea towels and t-shirt. Our Starfish family is still growing with Dragonfly Toys becoming our newest retailer. For a complete list of all our retailers please click here.

One of the very special things about Magic Starfish is that we dye each item individually. This ensures that every pattern is unique and unrepeatable. We find our customers love looking through a selection of shopping bags, t-shirts or tea towels for that special pattern that speaks to them. Perhaps your very special hand dyed t-shirt or accessory has just been dyed and is waiting for you!

Chocolate - the truth is not so sweet.

Chocolate is often described as “the Food of the Gods”. In Australia we consume around 120,000 tonnes of chocolate products each year, that’s a staggering 6 kilos of chocolate per person in Australia! At Magic Starfish we are committed to fair labour work practices so it is very upsetting to hear that thousands of children are still being forced to labour in the production of cocoa, chocolate’s primary ingredient.
